JST 201 – What would you do if you knew it was OK to fail?

Posted on November 15, 2017 by Dzidek Sabat

“You don’t learn to walk by following rules.
You learn by doing, and by falling over.”
– Richard Branson

I did a poll in my Facebook group, the Profitable Coaches Group earlier this week, asking members what are the limiting beliefs or *internal* stumbling blocks that get in the way of them getting clients?

The number one answer (with 77 votes) was “I procrastinate and struggle to get started / talk myself out of taking action.”

And this is the number one obstacle for many people looking to do work that’s meaningful or indeed make any other change in life. Well it turns out the only issue really for people is this: they don’t realise it’s OK to fail.

>>>This 3 minute video speaks about this

This notion is at the heart of getting to do the work you really want to do in life, and it’s one of the things we cover in my free video course which started today, The Thriving Coaches Blueprint.

>>> You can get free access to The Thriving Coaches Blueprint video series here

By the way, these videos are only going to be available until next Friday 24/11 so make sure and check them out right away if you want to see what I’m covering.

Enjoy!

Big love
Jamie

3. Join the next intake of Project Jupiter
If you want to transition from full-time employment to something more fulfilling and on-purpose for you, you may be a good fit for the next intake of Project Jupiter (starting January 2018). Here’s how you’ll know if you’re right for Jupiter (and vice-versa):

– You are currently in full-time employment, but…
– You want to transition from your job to something more fulfilling and “on-purpose”
– You sense that it’ll probably take 1-3 years to complete the transition, but…
– Your goal hasn’t been getting much closer; it seems to stay the same distance away
– You want to make progress, but lack clarity about either the ‘what’ or the ‘how’
– You know that if you were clear on those, with a solid plan, you’d do what it takes to make it happen
– You’ve been thinking about it for long enough, and you’re ready to do something about it NOW

If that’s you, email Nikki at info@jamiesmart.com and type “Project Jupiter” in the subject line.

When we were learning to walk, we (at least those of us, who are able to read it now) had plenty of time, our parents paid all bills, so we could try and fail safely. And even that days, when learning to talk, we needed some help and some following the rules. When it came to learning to read and write, we did need even more help and rules, otherwise it would take much too much time. Then imagine us learning to drive the same way we learned to walk. I don’t know, how many of us would survive this kind of education, but I guess quite a few would afford it. What do I mean? In the adult life not everything is safe. Sometimes too long trying and failing may leave us without any livelihood, which can be fatal in our beautiful world.
